Details of Piers 5 through 8

• Located off Guise Street, just north of the corner of James Street North and Burlington Street East (foot of Catharine Street). Also known as Centennial Pier.
• Piers 5 through 7 include the Harbour-West Marina, Royal Hamilton Yacht Club and Leander Boat club.
• Pier 8 comprises the rectangular man-made area in the top-right of the image above, down to Guise Street. The western area of this Pier is home to the new Canada Marine Discovery Center.
• West face: 183 m (600 ft)
• North face: 513 m (1683 ft)
• East face: 154 m (505 ft) (within the Navy basin)
• Shore power is available on the North face
• Pier 8 is used for general overflow cargo on its 828.61 m² of wharf land.
• This pier is active as an overseas terminal. The main warehouse structure on Pier 8 is a 10,033.5 m² (108,000 sq ft) building with a variety of features, including office space and bonded cargo areas.
