Project: Pier 10 & 26 – Security Upgrades

“Sealed Tenders” clearly marked as to the contents, will be received at the Hamilton Port Authority  office, 6th Floor, 605 James St. North,  Hamilton, for the Pier 10 & 26 – Security Upgrades project, until:

1400 hrs (2:00PM EST) on Tuesday February 21, 2017

Project Overview:

Civil and Electrical infrastructure for the provision of new high-speed security gates and security cameras at Piers 10 and Pier 26.

The General Contractor’s scope of work includes the following major components of the project:

  • Supply and install (6) high-speed vehicle access gates and (2) power man-gates c/w concrete foundations and control cabinets
  • Supply and install security cameras and poles
  • Supply and install generator
  • Supply and install power and communication cabling (underground and aerial)
  • Supply and install security fencing
  • Provide electrical ductbanks including boring under railway tracks
  • Construction of concrete roadway aprons and pads

There is a Bidder’s Site Meeting scheduled for Friday Feb.10th at 10:00AM.  More details can be obtained in the Tender Documents or by contacting the Project Manager.

Tender Documents will be available for purchase starting Tuesday morning Feb.7th (8:30AM) at Hamilton Port Authority’s office.  There is a $50 (including HST) non-refundable fee for the purchase of the CD containing the Tender Documents (specifications and drawings).  Payment shall be by cash or cheque only made payable to the Hamilton Port Authority.

All bids must be accompanied by bonding and proof of insurance as per the contract documents.

Project: 601 Burlington St. E. Site Surface Improvements

“Sealed Tenders” clearly marked as to the contents, will be received at the Hamilton Port Authority office, 6th Floor, 605 James St. North, Hamilton, for the 601 Burlington St. Site Surface Improvements, until:

1400 hrs (2:00PM EST) on Thursday February 16, 2016

Project Overview:

The project includes resurfacing an existing parking lot and loading area at 601 Burlington Street East.  The work includes pulverizing existing asphalt, removal of existing concrete pads and providing new pavement surfaces at 601 Burlington St. E. front and back exterior areas.

Paving area 1 will consist of 50mm of HL3-HS and paving area 2 will consist of 75mm of HL3-HS.

The General Contractor’s scope of work includes the following major components of the project:

  • Pulverizing, backfilling, and disposal of surplus material.
  • Saw cut, Remove, and off-site disposal of existing concrete pads.
  • Supply, place and compact with Hot-Mix Asphalt.
  • Front parking lot line painting.

There is a Bidder’s Site Meeting scheduled for Thursday February 9th at 10:00AM.  More details can be obtained in the Tender Documents or by contacting the Project Manager.

Tender Documents will be available for purchase starting Wednesday February 1st at the Hamilton Port Authority’s office.  There is a $50 (including HST) non-refundable fee for the purchase of the CD containing the Tender Documents (specifications and drawings).  Payment shall be by cash or cheque only made payable to the Hamilton Port Authority.  Note that all bidders must purchase Tender Documents and be added to the bidders list to be eligible for bidding on this project.
