Hamilton Port Authority Security Overview

The Port of Hamilton is a secured facility, with access restricted to authorized individuals with need and right to access port areas. Card readers at the various electronic gates will provide access to individuals holding a Port Security Access Card (PSAC) issued by the Port Security Centre.

Individuals without a PSAC must proceed to the Port Security Centre at 450 Sherman Ave to acquire a PSAC.

Swing Gates

The Pier 26 swing gates and the Hillyard St. swing gates at Evans McKeil Way are closed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Access may be arranged by calling the Port Security Centre.

Visitors to port property must be accompanied at all times by a person with a valid PSAC.
